Hillcroft is suitable for anyone who has one or more medical conditions and needs regular treatment or attention from nurses. Care

Nursing Care

Nursing care is similar to residential care and our highly trained and experienced nursing team provides round-the-clock clinical care for residents with a variety of complex needs. We work with you and your loved one to create a tailored care plan which is regularly reviewed. Our close working relationships with local healthcare teams ensures your loved one receives the best possible care.

Individualised Plan

Hillcroft Care ensures our residents, and their families have a fully transparent view of their care, we collaboratively create an individualised service plan for our residents. The individualised care plan is a comprehensive, customised programme of care developed with the resident and their family. It guides daily interaction between each resident and team members at the home and is updated as an ongoing reference, allowing the team to adapt quickly if a resident’s needs change.

Respite Care

Respite care is short term temporary care offered to adults and their carers, sometimes after a hospital stay or to provide a break for carers. Your loved one could be recovering from surgery, an illness or an accident. Hillcroft offers short stays, giving your loved one the time to recover in a comfortable and safe environment. Respite care is also an excellent way to try care, to understand if it’s a long-term option, and to give you a realistic view of life at Hillcroft. Respite care has clear benefits for both carers and adults with care needs.

We can accommodate urgent requests or planned stays – our teams are well equipped to help you through the process and deliver the care you need.

Residential Care

There may come a time when living independently at home is no longer safe or practical. Residential care homes provide accommodation alongside 24-hour support for those who need regular assistance with daily life. This can include help with personal care such as washing, dressing, using the bathroom, taking medication, or moving around safely.

Our homes creates a welcoming community, offering companionship and opportunities to take part in activities that support both mental and physical wellbeing.

Hillcroft Life

From the moment, you enter Hillcroft you will feel “at home”. The original building has been maintained in a tasteful manner delivering comfortable and bright accommodation. Communal areas include a large dining room, which is used for dinner parties and lunches. There are two lounges where residents can meet for a chat, watch films on the large screen television. One of the lounges is used for group entertainment including sing along, church service, quiz sessions etc. We also have a dedicated hair saloon and chiropody service.

Because we want you to be happy to call Hillcroft home, the last thing we’ll do is impose rules. So just like at home you can come and go as you please, get up, go to bed and eat when you want. We actively encourage visits from friends and relatives. You can even invite guests to join us in our sociable mealtimes.

Meaningful engagement

Our team take the pride in supporting our resident in regard to learning their new environments and supporting them with their emotional needs. As part of our preparations, we take as detailed a biography of each resident as they are happy to share so that we can understand their past life experience. We also encourage interaction with other residents which can be an important source of peer support.

MEANINGFUL ACTIVITIES

Our team ensure all residents are engaged in meaningful activities which helps  to alleviate the effects of moving to a home. We have a number of activities  and always ensure choices are both varied and tailored to our clients’ individual needs.

In touch with the community

A feeling of isolation can adversely affect our residents, and we therefore encourage families and friends to visit whenever they want, to join in meals, activities and to be involved as much in the homes as they would like.

Meet the Team

The homely feel at Hillcroft is created by our dedicated staff. Our team have been carefully selected not only for their professional ability but also for their commitment to truly making a difference for the people in our care. All of our staff at Hillcroft are directly employed by the Home – promoting relationships with the residents and offering accountability. Where to Begin

The skilled and dedicated team at Hillcroft delivers a wide range of care, including nursing, dementia and short term respite care service. While delivering quality care is at the heart of what we do, we also believe that moving into a care home is just another part of life, so we encourage and support residents to continue to enjoy a wonderful lifestyle.

Like any big decision, choosing the right care home is a mixture of the emotional and the practical. On the practical side, you want to know you’ll be safe and secure, and have the right level of individual, professional help you need. Equally it’s just as important you like the look and feel of the place that will be your home.

Of course, we believe we offer exemplary practical care and emotional support. Our resident’s reviews certainly bear this out. But we want to make sure you make the decision that is right for you. That’s why we pride ourselves on taking the time to give you all the information you need. You can either call to talk to one of our empathetic team; our advice is informed and free and we absolutely don’t do the hard sell. Or better still, drop in at any time that suits you and see Hilcroft for yourself. We are very welcoming and, when you visit, you can talk to other residents and their families for an unbiased view.
